SPORTS MASSAGE
A ‘hands on’ treatment technique which involves the mobilising and manipulation of the bodies soft tissue and myofascial structures. It was originally developed for athletes to prevent and relieve injuries. However both athletes and non-athletes can gain physiological and psychological benefits from receiving sports massage therapy.
INSTRUMENT-ASSISTED
SOFT TISSUE MOBILIZATION (IASTM)
Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) is a technique often used in physical therapy. IASTM works like a standard massage, but specialized instruments are used in place of a physical therapist's hands. These instruments allow more direct treatment of the soft tissues involved with movement.

Your muscles don't actually grow while you are working out; they grow while resting in between sessions. Exercise is essentially stress, and when you repeatedly stress your body it becomes better adapted to respond to the stimulus.

Recovery is super important in the workout process. Not only does it help you avoid all of those negative side effects, but when those micro-tears heal, your muscles grow.
